Mike,
I'll be plain and frank. Internet business can be very very
frustrating at the beginning if you don't have an extra
source of income or a big reserve you can fall back on.
Again, if you are doing internet business part time,
your business is not likely to grow quickly. Especially in
Nigeria where our internet businesses cannot be fully
automated yet.
The plan is this, if you have a job that doesn't disturb your
accessing the internet, then start your internet business
part-time. When you have operated it for sometime and
it has become at least almost as profitable as your job,
you can quit and face your business. Then you will be
amazed at the astronomical growth you will experience.
CASE STUDY
I started my Internet business part-time during my
undergraduate days. My office only opened on Saturdays.
At this time, my extra income came from my parents.
During my NYSC I continued to run my business part-time.
Extra income came from NYSC.
Immediately after my NYSC, I plunged into the business
full-time mindful of the fact that there would be no more extra
income. Of course I was scared at the beginning.
But with that realisation, I applied my whole being to the business
and with the Grace of God, within 6 months of going full time,
I achieved more growth than I had recorded all the 3 years
I had been doing it part-time.
I leave you to draw a conclusion.

Internet business should be taken as full time job because if you are relenting in your effort hardly you will make penny from your business, forex, HYIP, MLM, Adsense and some other profitable biz here on the net should not be taken as a game, you must be active and face your job full time
Thanks

Internet business is interesting, though it may be fustrating initially when you are paying your dues by way of falling into one pot holes or the other.
However, the business is for those that are detemined and hardworking.
There is serious need for 'RESEARCH' so as to discover opportunities and how to exploit them. Also, join a Forum like this you will learn a lot and you can as well contribute to other member knowledge.
Wishing you the best.

I think all has been said. But let me just add that what really matters is more than either you are invloved part-time or full-time. There are whole lot of full timers that should have been classified as part-timers and there are lots of part-timers that could easily pass for full timers.
What I'm trying say in essence is that what matter most are the following ingredient.
HARDWORk, RESEARCH, and ACTION
. Of course we all know that being a full timer is what will give you the needed time and efforts to be able to maximize the above ingredients to the highest level. Having said that, being a full timer should not be used as a yardstick to success as an Internet Marketer.
You need way lot of
RESEARCH, HARDWORK and ACTION
. If you can successfully mixed all these together as a part timer, I can assure you that you will still do greatly fantastic than many other full timers out there lazying out most of their time, all because they've got aboundance of time; not working 8-5 and neither schooling.
Cheers!

It is quite possible do undertake internet business full time, but at the beginning it is advisable to have another source of income. One can go into it full time once stabilise.

This is a very good post. And I love the advice from Toye the moderator. He talked from experience. I will love to reach RealMike who made the post. But his e-mail is hidden. In any case, the Moderator said it all. Caution is the word. And never invest more than you can afford to loose. Strive to learn from others (like our moderator here, I also have my own experience to share), to avoid making the mistakes they made. I know everyone is learning from the replies to this post.

I love the contribution from everyone. I will however advise the enquirer to take it easy and be on guard against scammers. The internet business is good and interesting but like any other venture, it can be challenging as well. If you need some materials that can help u succeed in this business, feel free to contact me and I shall help.
From now on I shall be posting in this forum ideas that can help internet marketers and newbies succeed.
Cheers

Doing internet business part time or full time
depends on the individual financial pocket.
if you are financially buoyant, you can go full time
but if you are not, you can go party time.
