My people, PHCN did not allow me to watch the handing over ceremony.  Don't ask ....you no get generator? I have both AGO and PMS operated but I no fit run them ok. When AGO was close to N100 per litre, I went for PMS operated generator but before I woke up from sleep, the PMS is now N75 per litre.  I may be wrong, please correct me....maybe I went to a wrong filling station.

Now back to business my people!

Few issues I would like to hear your views:

1.  Omnipay moves its Bank Account to Africa meaning that all Omnipay exchanges will now involve e-gold transfer and money payment into/out of Omnipay Africa e-gold and bank account.  It is no news as you know that US government action in seizing e-gold accounts of e-gold limited, G&SR, The Bullion Exchange, Icegold etc and forcing G&SR to liquidate the seized assets.  As if this was not enough, SEB Bank in Estonia also informed G&SR of the bank resolve to close G&SR account on 25th of May 2007 because of Press Release from US department of justice.

With this swift action, Omnipay Africa will now be an entirely non-US company with majority shares owned by prominent business leaders from Francophone countries of West Africa according to report.

a)  What is your views on this development?

b)  My humble friend in the exchange business still has his dollars handing with one of these merchant.  Do you think it is now time for exchangers in Nigeria to come together under one umbrella like "E-Currencies Exchangers Association of Nigeria" with a major objective of protecting e-currencies users in Nigeria?

c) Why was e-bullion left the hook?  Or was e-bullion assess also seized? Is is because Dr. Douglas Jackson of e-gold is a non American by nationality?

Friends, let me hear from you because I forsee a big opportunity coming to Africa and Nigeria as the.....sorry I wanted to say the giant of Africa but anyway lets get talking no matter how you qualify Nigeria ok.

Cheers

Thanks for that detailed info. The truth of the matter now is beginning to surface gradually.Africa is now the safe haven for the ill treated and suspected criminals as portrayed by the security agents in the US. When a friend in US sent me the info about Ominpay Africa, he simply said Americans have come again, simply because  some payment system are now seeing e-gold as a potential threat with their drastic surge in business, thereby putting their business in jeopardy.Or is it becos Jackson Douglas is not  an American by Nationality.

In my own candid opinion its a good development for us in Africa and Nigeria , cos larger percentage of the G&SR will be for Africans , and this will mean business for us Exchangers. The system of injustice abi na justice In the US against a well thought  system like e-gold is becoming so glaring tactics to push some supposed  threats out of business in other to favor their likes(paypal  etc)
They should come to Africa joo! we get plenty land for dem to stay and practice their art.
I support wat Joygold said, "Do you think it is now time for exchangers in Nigeria to come together under one umbrella like "E-Currencies Exchangers Association of Nigeria" with a major objective of protecting e-currencies users in Nigeria?"
One of us has his money hanging with one of the seized suppliers, it might be u tommorrow, so let come together and form an  association to protect our interest.
